Snap Goes the Avatar
A while back, I joined yet another online hypnosis group. This one is called Snapville http://www.hypnotize.snappville.com/.
I was obliged to join it as someone had sent me a link to the profile of a potential (and quite attractive) female subject to appear in an erotic hypnosis movie clip I plan to make. In order to view the profile, I had to join the community. Seeing no way around it, I did. By the time I was through with the rigamarole of signing up, waiting for their email
verification and clicking that, I’d forgotten whose profile I wanted to look at in the first place, and to this day, do not remember. For similar reasons, I have so far not joined Facebook.
I’ve nothing against Snappville, but right away, before I’d even completed my profile, I had someone send me an unsolicited chat request, asking pretty inane questions like “So, what is it that you like about hypnotising people?” I think the person asking the question was about 22 years old (based on the profile summary I saw). Which figures as I’d like to think that a grown man or woman with a mortgage to pay would find better ways to pass their time than to attempt idle, very idle, chit chat.
Bless him for attempting conversation, but he just hit on the wrong person. I cannot see myself ever having nothing better to do than answer open ended questions like that, designed to cure the other party’s boredom while cranking up my boredom levels! It is a valid question, but not one I want to find myself repeating again and again in chat rooms as he won’t be the only person that wonders what goes on in the mind of the hypnotist. So one day, I will put fingers to keyboards and write a blog or article about what it is I do like about hypnotising people. Then any time I get asked, I can just give the person asking a link to the blog or article. Better time management.
This morning I woke up early to answer some emails (the kind of thing I’d rather do than answer lame questions in a chat room) and found an email from Snappville telling me that my avatar had been removed as it violated their terms and conditions. I glanced at the aforementioned terms and conditions and stopped scanning them when I came across something about obscenity. I then concluded that a cartoon of a man ejaculating during erotic hypnosis is deemed obscene. I’d already received positive feedback from other members regarding my chosen avatar and as it is a cartoon based on a real time hypnosis session, it has always been one of my favourites. This is a clear case of something the masses like but the powers that be object to.
Should I provide an avatar of my cleavage instead? No, I could not bare an assault on my heaving bosom if they deleted that too!
So I am going to remain avatar-free on http://www.hypnotize.snappville.com/ and be an upstanding member of the community.
Many have asked me what offending image caused me ot get this warning of expulsion. Well, here it is:
