Some People’s Discarded Bum Wipes

I get all manners of emails, private messages, etc.  And I endeavour to respond to the ones that sound genuine, even when the person is asking a question that is, frankly, none of their business.   Today I received the following which I am going to cut and paste because the twit in question thought he was doing me a favour by raising these issues “off-line”.  Personally, I want the whole world to read about it.  And judge me if you wish.  Not that I’ll care a toss.

The background is, in this thread at Fetlife, a poster asks for comments on the material of Isabella Valentine, a fellow erotic hypnotist, his exact words  being “I stumbled across a cache of Isabella Valentine files (by which I mean I’m downloading them now, as I type this”.

Now, I was not the only person that immediately suspect he may have been illegally downloading material he had not paid for.  My response to this was:

“I am intrigued by this “cache” that you are downloading? Is this an illegal torrent that defrauds her in the short term, and in the long term means that she, and other hypnodommes, add DRM technology to their future recordings.

If you have properly paid for the downloads, then I apologise for jumping down your throat on this.

On the other hand, when you listen to the quality of her work and feel the gratitude for experiencing her unique style, you may notice the urge you feel to adequately compensate her with a gift of appreciation for what you have listened to.”

What was happening there is not rocket science.   And I’m sure others knew and didn’t have a problem with it.  But there’s always one Jobsworth, with nothing to do but contemplate the contours of his hairy belly button.

So I find this private message in my Fetlife inbox.  There was a slightly obnoxious tone to it which I chose to ignore but I think it should have been an indication to me to spend my time more productively by ignoring the sad author.

He writes:

Tsk, tsk

Do I detect a little NLP in this text you wrote?

*On the other hand, when you listen to the quality of her work and feel the gratitude for experiencing her unique style, you may notice the urge you feel to adequately compensate her with a gift of appreciation for what you have listened to.

*

I don’t disagree with the opinion you expressed, but am curious, do you do this with everyone, or just those you disagree with?

Now is that nice?

I reply:

*Evil grin gee, I got busted! I thought I’d have been pulled up on it earlier.*

I do it if I feel the cause is justified. And as I do still strongly believe that he was downloading a torrent, I have no remorse about planting such a suggestion.

Ironically, I never plant suggestions to purchase my products or repeat visits to me, etc, unless the subject has expressed this as a desire. And some do.

I think it would be great if hypnodommes planted all kinds of subliminal clauses in their recordings aimed at those that have not paid where payment should have been made.

And who are you to question me, by the way?

He replies:

I’m me, I need no title or special power to pose reasonable, honest questions.

By saying, evil grin & “I got busted” you admit that you’re up to something. By the aggressive tone in the last question, I can tell I hit a nerve.

I took this off-line to not overly embarrass you, should you be the type to be so inclined. So instead of just owning up to it, you justify questionable behavior and attack the questioner.

Regardless of my opinion of what you did, and what you might do, you have to live with the choices you make.

B

I reply, before placing him on block because I wasn’t placed on this planet to engage in correspondence with Internet trolls like him.

Geez, whose nerve got hit here?  The person with a sense of humour by-pass? One tongue in cheek comment at the end of a response that I really didn’t owe it to give to you suddenly tugs at your personal low self esteem issues.  I must choose my questions more carefully so as not to upset the likes of you.

If you are so uptight about who you are, then my advice is you just go and fuck your uptight self.  But you probably already do that.

I live quite happily with my choices and you can discuss what I posted there where-ever the hell you like.  You will end up embarrassing none other than your humour-starved self.

If you need to discuss this further, please take it out into the open. I’ve got better ways to spend my time.

So I look forward to him outing me as an evil hypnotist who plants suggestions on unsuspecting listeners.  Perhaps in doing so, he will get the life he craves.
